Prayer

Prayer is a critical part of every believers life.  We are beginning the year focusing on making prayer a priority in our lives.

“Devote yourselves to prayer” – Colossians 4:2

Tips for Success

Time

Decide on a specific time of day that you will pray.  For most people, if they do not schedule it, they will not pray regularly. You may want to pray in the morning before breakfast, in free time during the day, or at night before bed.  Choose a time and commit to it.

Where to Pray

You can pray anywhere and at any time, but it is important that we have times to get alone and talk to God.  Plan a convenient place where you can get alone with God to seek Him in prayer.

Team up

One thing that can help you be successful is to have someone that is holding you accountable to your commitment to prayer.  Talk to your spouse or a friend about helping you pray every day for 21 days.

Track Your Progress

Use the tracking handout available in the church foyer to track how you are doing.  Each day after you complete your prayer and fasting mark off the day.
